Hotel Steyne

Outstanding location - you wont find better! Basic room, spotlessly clean. Good shower and bathroom but only a glass sliding door between it and the bedroom so you will become 'very familiar' with your partner if you weren't already!
Tip - Air conditioning vent fan was noisey and it stopped me sleeping. I found out if I remove the room key from the power switch the fan noise goes completely.
Breakfast was good, staff helpful particularly lady on Front Desk, nothing was too much trouble.
Yes I would recommend this place for its location and good value for money. Geoff from the UK.

Beer battered fish n chips... sooo good

It’s not Balter classic on tap it’s Balter hazy IPA!! We told the bar staff the Balter tastes really weird and orangey and they said it was fine. We tried the Hazy IPA at the pub next door and it was definitely that. The Steyne staff were nice about it but be warned 😅 they just need to change their signage/menu!

Daniel is king, and he’s so hospitable and kind. You wouldn’t even know he’s from the northern beaches, he’s so friendly! Get served by Daniel he’ll be accommodating to the moon and back (if you’re mystical and whatnot)

Went for lunch on a Friday. No problems getting a table. Ordered fish and chips, and to be honest, this was one of the very best I have ever eaten! Crispy batter on moist fish, just as I like it. Bar and food service was very friendly and professional. Top marks!

Again, what visit to Manly would be incomplete without having fish and chips with a glass of Shiraz at the Steyne! This time an early Saturday afternoon visit, about 1. Crowded but still got a table. Excellent food with friendly efficient service. Another worthwhile visit!

Back again! Can't break the recipe, fish and chips with a large shiraz really hit the spot. Visited on Sunday and not too crowded, so I easily found a table. Went to order and as I opened my mouth, I realised that I had not noted my table number! Not far off so ordered and went for number, so no real delay, and as a bonus I brought a big smile to the server's face.

Chicken Parmigiana was fantastic: YuGe serving size.
